Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) and Alternergy recently reaffirmed their long-standing partnership with the signing of new financing facilities that will power key renewable energy projects in the Philippines.

For more than ten years, RCBC has stood alongside Alternergy in advancing the country’s renewable energy sector. From the pioneering Pililla Wind Farm in 2014 to the Solana Solar Farm and the Alabat Wind Farm, RCBC has consistently provided the financial support that enabled Alternergy to bring clean energy to communities and contribute to a more sustainable future.

“Our partnership accounts for 160 MW of renewable energy capacity—important milestones to Alternergy’s Road to 500 MW by 2026. We look forward to your continued partnership, trust, and friendship as we embark on a shared mission of creating a cleaner and more sustainable future for the country,” said Reggie Cariaso, RCBC President and CEO.

Alternergy Chairman Vince Perez highlighted how RCBC’s trust in the company dates back to its early years:

“From the early days of Alternergy’s renewable energy journey to the present, we have been blessed with RCBC as a steadfast partner, providing financial support that has enabled us to grow and thrive. Back in 2014, you looked beyond our modest financial capital. Instead, you recognized one of Alternergy’s Five C’s of credit – character. You recognized what Alternergy could become. You saw the potential that Alternergy holds, from our humble beginnings in 2008 to our current position as a pioneer in renewable power.”

This partnership has now reached another milestone with the ceremonial signing of two major financing deals:

  • Php 1.033 Billion Project Finance Facility for the 28 MWp Solana Solar Project in Balsik, Hermosa, Bataan

  • Php 5.335 Billion Project Finance Facility for the 64 MW Alabat Wind Farm in Alabat, Quezon

RCBC Capital noted that these projects represent the 4th and 5th financing partnerships with Alternergy, bringing the total renewable capacity funded to over 160 MW. The bank also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Alternergy’s ambitious roadmap of 500 MW by 2026 and 1 GW by 2030.

Through this enduring collaboration, Alternergy and RCBC continue to demonstrate how strong partnerships can accelerate the Philippines’ clean energy transition—delivering not just power, but a legacy of sustainability for future generations.

A remarkable encounter. The Escorts in Aerocity was excellent, and the escort was endearing and intriguing. It was a genuinely remarkable moment because every little element was thoughtfully planned.
